So, you’re going on vacation to Walt Disney World, but not sure what to do with your four-legged friend? Why not bring them along as well, and treat them to a vacation at Best Friends Pet Hotel in Walt Disney World. Conveniently located on property, directly across from Port Orleans – Riverside. Best Friends Pet Hotel has accommodations that welcomes all sizes, from a large dog to a small cat, and even pocket pets. Everyone is welcome!
Accommodations with the Play and Stay Package
For Dogs, Best Friend Pet Hotel has 4 types of accommodations (discount on daily rate is available when you are staying on property).
Indoor – A standard chain link kennel.
Indoor/Outdoor – Basic chain link kennel with a small outdoor area.
Vacation Villa – Room with tile floors and solid walls between kennels. A glass front door, with a small relief area outside, flatscreen TV, Webcam (so check in on you pet during your stay), and turndown biscuit at bedtime.
VIP Luxury Suite – Huge luxury room with a personal play area outside, for personal, one-on-one time when visiting your pet. Includes all the same amenities as the Vacation Villa, but also includes a “Go-Home Fresh” shampoo bath after a 3 night stay.
All stays include at least 1 potty walk and the Vacation Villa and VIP Luxury Suite include 1 to 2 play groups. Add-ons can be purchased with any package.
For Cats, they offer kitty condos, either 2 or 4 levels and pocket pets are based on habitat size.
We booked the Vacation Villa for our dog. I loved how clean and private it was. He was not disturbed with the sounds of other barking dogs. I loved how the front windows were glass, so he could see the hallway and look outside. He had a raised bed and watched Disney Cartoons on the TV 24 hours a day.
Visiting your Pet and Play Groups
While you’re on vacation and you pet is staying at their own resort, you are free to come and visit him/her any time of day or night. They offer a wonderful outside area that you can play in with your pet. You can also go on a nature walk around the outside of the play area, to spend some time with your pet. The grounds are beautiful and are nicely themed with tons Disney dogs and cats. The outside areas are very secure, with double fencing to keep your pet in and the Florida wildlife out.
If you book a package that includes a play group, then the camp counselors will take your pet out for supervised playtime in the yard with their new furry friends. They also offer small bone shaped pools for them to cool off. Each day in the mailbox, they will leave you a card letting you know what they did, who they played with, and their overall favorite things about your pet. These packages also include access to viewing your pet via webcam, so you can see what your pet is doing in their room during the day.
Best Friends Pet Hotel also has a full-service grooming salon, so your pet can be pampered with a spa day during their stay.
Overall, I was extremely pleased with my dog’s stay at Best Friends Pet Hotel in Walt Disney World. He was so happy every day, and the counselors really love and care for your pet as if it’s their own.
