Bourne Stuntacular Review

Universal Studios Orlando recently unveiled the Bourne Stuntacular, and I was lucky enough to be able see it on my last trip. The location is on the streets of Hollywood and is in the former Terminator 2 3D building. The exterior, queue, and theater look the same as when it was Terminator but the signage has changed to the Bourne theme. With social distancing spacing in place, the queue stretches all the way outside down by the streets of Hollywood in advance of the show starting. I would recommend arriving about 30 minutes before the show starts to be able to wait inside. You can see the show times for the day on the Universal app, and note that Universal Express Pass is not accepted at this time.

Inside the queue, there are movie props and photos, along with clips shown from the movie series. Overall, the queue was underwhelming and nothing to entertain you while you wait.

Once inside the theater, I would recommend sitting in the center and closer towards the front in order to get the best view, and for the effects to be the most realistic. Cameras and video recordings are not allowed once the show starts.

I have seen the Indian Jones Stunt Show many times at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and that was the type of show I was expecting to see here. I couldn’t have been more wrong. The Bourne Stuntacular is action packed and full of special effects. From moving set pieces, to giant screens, to full size cars on stage, and aerial stunts; this show will keep you entertained from start to finish. I was completely blown away and surprised at how great this show was! Universal has perfectly blended cutting edge technology with live action performers seamlessly. It was like watching a movie, but being inside the movie at the same time.

Without giving too much away, Universal has managed to elevate stage shows to a whole new level! I can’t wait to see this show again, and what Universal does with their stage shows going forward. The Bourne Stuntacular is a must see when visiting Universal Studios Orlando!
