Disney has officially announced the premiere date for the newest nighttime show coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The Wonderful World of Animation show is set to debut on May 1, 2019, which is the 30th anniversary of the park.
The nighttime projection show will take guests on a magical journey through more than 90 years of Disney animation and be projected onto the the building which once was home to the now closed Great Movie Ride. The space is being converted to the much anticipated Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway, the first ever ride-through attraction themed to Mickey and Minnie Mouse. Disney has yet to announce it’s opening.
2019 is going to be a big year for Disney’s Hollywood Studios with much more to come leading up to the much anticipated Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge late fall.
