Sanaa Dinner Review at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge

This year our family spent a few days at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge for the very first time. I have to say it’s absolutely beautiful and you should check out my room tour if you haven’t done so yet.  After a busy day at the parks, my husband and I enjoyed a couples night out at the resort’s table service restaurant, Sanaa.

The location of this restaurant is one of the best. If you enjoy a table with a view, you certainly have it at Sanaa.  It was not easy to get a last minute reservation but the staff was incredibly accommodating and they were able to get us a table for two.  We sat outside in one of the many animal viewing areas and had a glass of wine while they prepared our table.  Once seated we continued to view the exotic animals as they roamed the Savanna.

Sanaa-Dipping-Sauce

The cuisine here is African inspired with flavors of India.  Of course we started out with the Indian style bread service. The bread comes with a variety of dipping sauces and they are all very good.  It is honestly the best option at Sanaa and what most people go for.

Sanaa-Samosas

As an appetizer we shared the samosas which were delicious.

Biryani Chicken Sanaa

For the main course I had the biryani chicken which was very good.

Sanaa-Chocolate-Mouse

I almost always get dessert, so this time I tried the triple chocolate mousse which was also excellent.

Sanaa-View-Giraffe

As much as I enjoy dinner at Sanaa for both the atmosphere and the ethnic food experience, it may not be the best choice for picky eaters. All Disney restaurants will accommodate you the best that they can, but if you have children who are extremely picky about their meals this might not be the place for you.  That being said, it still may be worth the trip for the atmosphere alone.  Young children will love being able to watch a giraffe grazing right outside of the window. Dinner entertainment has never better!
