Walt Disney World Beyond the Attractions

One huge misconception about Walt Disney World is that it is just an amusement park filled with kid-friendly rides for family vacations. For those that know Disney, it can be so much more. To give you an idea, my daughter has made over 20 trips to Walt Disney World and has hundreds of experiences we have yet to do; a multitude of things to discover still and plenty of sights still to see.

At Magic Kingdom, there is an interactive card game called Sorcerer’s Of The Magic Kingdom. You get signed up to play at the firehouse on Main Street. Every time you visit you will be given a set of five cards to enjoy the game. In time you can collect or trade for all the cards and enjoy going on adventures throughout the park to play the game. No rides necessary, generally no waiting in lines, and it’s a great way to keep children entertained on those busy days.

Recently at Epcot and Animal Kingdom, they have low cost scavenger hunts that are seasonal adventures. When completed, they provide a small gift or souvenir. There are books written to help adventurers find and discover “Hidden Mickeys” throughout all 4 of the parks. Hidden Mickeys are generally hidden architectural or designs secretly hidden in the parks resembling the three circle shape of Mickey’s head.

There are also dozens of resorts to explore, plenty of restaurants to try, two water parks, two mini golf courses, horseback riding and so much more. Not to mention seasonal events like Epcot’s Flower & Garden Festival, The Festival of The Arts and Epcot’s Food & Wine Festival. I assure you, one beauty of Disney is that you will never do it all.

Disney offers plenty for adults too. Wine tastings and pairings, adult themed tours geared towards history and design of Disney, and ecological based tours explaining the global consciousness Disney is proud to be a part of.

Please be sure to realize Disney is so much more than a kids park. Adult only trips to Disney can be some of the best experiences you will ever have. Make sure on every Disney adventure you try something new. You will discover that even on the busiest of park days, if you have an open mind you can enjoy amazing memory making at Disney! Just make sure to look into other options on your next Disney vacation by inquiring with your travel professional.
