Best Items to Pack in a Disney Parks Bag for Kids

Whenever I decide to pack my backpack for a day in the Disney parks, I realize that there is so much that I find necessary to bring; from sunscreen, to snacks, to autograph books, and more.

Recently my daughter, Madison, received a small backpack on a Disney vacation from Tinker Bell. If you missed the previous blog post and video, Tinker Bell often brings gifts for my kids on a Disney Trip.

She filled this little backpack with many of the items that I often carry for her. Then I realized, “why am I carrying around a 30 pound backpack when my children are perfectly capable of taking along everything that they need?”

Now, I only carry what I find necessary for myself and my children carry their own personal items. This has helped us out so much over the past couple of years. I found that I was getting incredibly cranky because of back pain and just being uncomfortable carrying around too many things everyday. This solves that problem and I wish I had done it sooner.

Here is a list of many of the things that your littles can carry on their own to help lighten your load.

1. Autograph book and sharpies
2. Portable phone charger
3. Sunglasses
4. Sea bands for motion sickness
5. Tissues
6. Sunscreen
7. Hand sanitizer
8. Extra magic band if they have it
9. Hair ties
10. Poncho
11. Ziploc bags
12. Snacks
13. Water bottle
14. Change purse for coin press
15. Fidgets
16. Gum
17. Portable fan
18. Earbuds
19. Wipes
20. Mini flashlight
21. Chapstick with SPF

That is everything that is currently in my daughter’s backpack for our upcoming Disney trip. I’ll include things such as medication and EpiPens for my children in my backpack. Other than that, my daughter has everything that she could possibly need for a long day at a Disney park.

If you would like to see everything that is in both my daughters backpack and mine as well, please check out this coordinating YouTube video for more:
